SilverLine Center Conference Room
Tysons Corner, Virginia
When the Washington Real Estate Investment Trust decided to renovate the ground floor of one of their Tysons Corner office building bearing the name of the nearby SilverLine Metro extension, they sought the professional advice of one of their long time tenants, VSGi. The WRIT project leaders envisioned a modern professional space where building tenants and guests alike could host business conferences and special events, but also provide functional small meeting rooms for daily ad hoc collaboration.
With over 20 years of video conferencing and AV integration experience, the VSGi Mid-Atlantic accounts team recommended three critical elements:
- Ease of Use – It was imperative that guests be able to use the collaboration technology without the assistance of building resources, whether IT or administrative staff. AMX control panels and access panels conveniently installed next to large format 4k displays were equal to the task.
- Technology Agnostic – Everyone in the business world carriers some sort of device(s), thus a central requirement was the ability to share content from any smartphone, tablet or laptop computer. With USB and HDMI cables built into the rooms, and with WiFi and Bluetooth connections readily available, most can connect their devices and start sharing content with ease.
- Flexibility – The conference space needed to serve multiple purposes, from a central building gathering place to congregate and relax for a few minutes, to a professional conference facility equipped with video walls, in-ceiling speakers and a retractable wall dividing the main room into two large capacity meeting rooms.
