University of Maryland Eastern Shore

The University of Maryland Eastern Shore recently purchased a custom Distance Learning Classroom configuration from VSGi and would like to share our enthusiasm with the success of this development.

UMES began planning our Distance Learning Classroom in March of 2000. During that time, VSGi worked with UMES to prepare and submit supporting documentation for our agent. VSGi was also flexible in being able to modify the room specifications as our needs changed, in addition to staying within budget. Overall, VSGi was instrumental in evaluating our needs based on current and long-term plans for our Distance Learning Classroom.

We are very pleased with VSGi’s commitment to our project and with the time VSGi invested to ensure that UMES was planning the right solution for our needs. I found VSGi’s responsiveness to be exceptional. VSGi’s implementation and follow-up have been timely and handled professionally. VSGi’s dedicated Project Manager was very knowledgeable and provided comprehensive training to the faculty. VSGi has proven themselves in these areas quite well and the Help Desk has provided needed technical support. I have been especially pleased with the service provided by our VSGi Account Manager. She worked with me form day one as I attempted to articulate the distance education needs of the Department of Human Ecology. I am also pleased with the fact that one can dial into the office on the Polycom VS4000 system to troubleshoot problems, which have been very minor and resolved within minutes or hours.

It has been a pleasure working with VSGi and I look forward to continued successes in the near future as our campus expands its distance education capabilities.
