Stanford Center for Innovations in Learning
The Stanford Center for Innovations in Learning (SCIL) was established in 2002 as an independent center of excellence at Stanford University. SCIL is dedicated to conducting scholarly research and related activities that advance the sciences, technologies, and practices supporting learning and teaching from early childhood through post-secondary education.
As part of this focus, SCIL has implemented the use of videoconferencing technologies to conduct remote education sessions with affiliates and partners across the globe. VSGi provides SCIL Polycom ViewStation FX systems. SCIL has plans to grow the network to include additional systems in the future and VSGi will work with SCIL to make it happen.
SCIL brings the revolutions in design, technology, learning sciences, and disciplines together to tackle complex learning issues. To learn more about SCIL visit their web site at http://scil.stanford.edu/index.html.
